Huobi Global made their anticipated announcement earlier today of their new platform for the launching of specifically chosen projects – Huobi Prime.

The exchange described their new platform as:

“…a better way to access cutting-edge crypto projects with a high potential for impact and growth – one designed not just for the deep pocketed and well connected but also for ordinary retail traders.”

Described as a new innovation: a ‘Direct Premium Offering (DPO)’ platform, it includes advantages such as:

• Coins purchased through Huobi Prime are immediately deposited into user’s accounts and are tradable on Huobi Global against Huobi Token (HT).

• Rigorous screening and selection processes to ensure only premium projects that have yet to be listed on any major exchange are included.

• Early access to coins at below market prices.

The first coin to launch on Huobi Prime will be TOP, the native token of TOP Network’s public blockchain project.

TOP Network describe themselves as aiming to bring a new kind of communication system utilizing blockchain and other technologies beyond it. They are a cloud communication service on blockchain while being low-cost, fast, secure and a public communication network.

The project wants to provide a full stack of communication service because there are a variety of communication apps, and each app may have different requirements, so TOP plan to enable a much more efficient and more accessible communications service.

A full stack is essentially the various service apps which reflect the different parts of the stack. Examples of service apps on the internet include WhatsApp, iMessage and so forth. They are considered real-time communications. There are approximately 6-7 core communication categories that TOP Network covers.

Using a building as an analogy, TOP Network will build a building with many levels for different functions.

While there may be concerns regarding the possibility of attempting too many hurdles at once with TOP Network, it is interesting to see how the project will fare following Huobi Prime’s official launch.
